Test Drive for
teleios
[Henry awoke in the large room dazed and confused like everyone else. And there was a lot of everyone else. He tried to think back to what he remembered before coming here while the woman talked about being kidnapped. That was old news to Henry after having been in Ruby City for six months. But this place was very different. And not in a good way. It scared him, he didn't like not having his mothers around. He hoped he knew someone here. Even if he didn't like them too much.]

at his canon point, he doesn't know henry yet ~
The strange thing about today is that there's not the normal batch of people. No, this time's there's a young boy. He approached with a curious half smile.]
Hey, kid. You alright? [What was strange was that he looked like he was and that was pretty impressive, given what he knew he must have been told already.]
Oh noes! Henry's post Manhattan + old game memories
Yes. I've felt worse.
[Then something occurred to him, would the timelines be stretched as they were in Ruby City?]
...You know me, right?
sob
Uh, no? Should I?
Yup!
[Maybe if Henry had gotten to know his dad more before coming here, he'd be more inclined to make a fuss. But he had only spent a few hours with him at the most before this meeting so why confuse the man even more?]

Still, he's got something of a soft spot for lost boys, and this one's got a familiar look about him.]
Lost, mate?

Just a little. Though the woman was helpful to a point.

her entire expression shifts, eyes widening, jaw slackening, and the stubborn stiffness in her shoulders draining right out. there's no deflecting that this hits her right at home. it's been nearly a year now since she's seen her son, and everything she's done in teleios has been with the determination to get back to him, right down to trying to strike a bargain with the two people she absolutely shouldn't.
and now he's here.
she pivots quickly, searching the crowd at waist-level, and begins to push through bodies, the panic and desperation to see him building inside of her until it mounts into a shout. ]
Henry? Henry!

Mom! [He yelled back hoping to help by giving her a sound to aim for and heading in the direction of her own voice.] Mom, I'm here!

[ emma closes the distance between them and doesn't hesitate to pull her son into her arms, crouching down some to reach his level. she pulls him in and, hiding her face against his hair, exhales her relief. the hug only lasts a moment, though, before worry overtakes her. it's been a fair year since she's seen him, she needs to get a look at him, and make sure he was safe in storybrooke - after all, he'd been there with regina.
so, she pulls back, settling her hands on his shoulders, and studies him. the important parts are the same, but it's obvious how he's grown - grown without her there, and that cuts deeper than she'd admit. her lips tighten and her brow furrows, worry evident. ] Are you okay?
no subject
I'm fine. Better knowing you're here.
[He wondered how long ago she'd seen him and what she knew about the goings on in Storybrooke and Manhattan. Was she in his past or perhaps his future? Only time would tell.]

she spends another moment, gaze boring into him, trying to memorize every detail of his face and determine what's changed and berate herself for the minute possibility of having forgotten anything. she pulls him back into a hug, fluffing a hand against his shaggier-than-it-had-been hair. she glances around the hall, apprehensive in her protectiveness. ]
I know you've got a lot of questions. And there's time for some, while we get you to bed. The rest wait til morning, okay?
[ because it's late and she's a mother again. it's like working out a muscle that's gone stiff and weak from lack of use, but she's flexing it and trying to remember the feeling all the same. remember a feeling she never got as much chance to enjoy as she'd have liked. ]

When she sees Henry waking, she stops and blinks. Not many people her age come to Teleios.]
Hello.
Awesome. :)
Hello.
They're both in game, anyway. <3
