History:

The following in the small was written as an in character tag to another character and follows the history of Season One of the show. If it’s too long-winded, I will write another.

Okay. There was once this girl called Regina and she loved this guy called Daniel but then Daniel died because Regina's mom tore out his heart and crushed it and Regina blamed her new step daughter Snow White because she accidentally told Regina's mom about Daniel because she was only my age! So Regina and Snow White had this really long fight and Regina then got a Huntsman to kill Snow White and bring her heart back to her but the Huntsman was a nice man and let her go. Snow White met Prince Charming in the forest and after loads of bad things happened to tear them apart they finally got married and fought to get back their kingdom!

One of those bad things was Regina giving Snow White a cursed apple that but her into an enchanted sleep. But because true love is the greatest magic of all, Prince Charming managed to wake her up with a kiss! Regina wasn't very happy with this and tried to devise a way to get back at Snow White while she and Prince Charming were getting ready to have a baby. She managed to get a curse and enacts it on the day Snow White and Prince Charming's baby was born.

That's Emma, my real mom.

She got put in a magic wardrobe which brought her, and Pinocchio, to the new land before everyone else so they would be safe and not bound by the curse. The curse made everyone forget who they really were and this went on for twenty-eight years because Emma had to be twenty-eight before she could break the curse.

Did I mention that bit yet? Sorry. Rumplestiltskin saw the future and told Snow White and Prince Charming that only Emma could break the curse once she was twenty-eight. That's why she got sent through the magic wardrobe.

Anyway, so while she was around in our world, my world, the new world, she met a man who ended up being my dad! He's a fireman but he's dead now. And then she had me while she was in jail and gave me up so I could have my best chance.

That's when I got adopted by Regina. I grew up in Storybrooke and I was ten when Mary Margaret, who is really Snow White and therefore my grandmother but she didn't know it at the time, gave me my book of fairy tales which told me how everything I just told you happened. Well not everything. Some things I've been told and learnt because Daniel was never in the book. But once I realised the truth I went to find Emma and I brought her back to Storybrooke.

After loads of stuff happened, bad and good, including Graham dying...[momentary sob]...he was the Huntsman...Regina used the remains of the apple Snow White ate to put her into the enchanted sleep to make an apple turnover to give to Emma because as long as she was around then the curse could be broken and Emma still didn't believe in magic so I ate it instead to make her believe and then because of her true love for me she managed to wake me up and break the curse!

So Regina was defeated and everyone remembered who they were but we didn't get to go back to the Enchanted Forest. So we then had to worry about that!

In season two, Henry tries to help the adults as best he can but it kept away from the action a lot because he is a kid. To start with, the new magic gives Regina a sense of power and she tries to force Henry to stay with her and use magic. But he refuses, especially as Emma and Mary Margaret have disappeared trying to save her. Eventually she realises this and lets Henry live with David. He does this until his mother and grandmother return home. During that time, David does his best to try and encourage his faith with a wooden sword fight and giving him his own horse to muck out and brush. Sadly this second idea goes awry as this is where Frankenstein’s monster of Daniel shows up and almost kills Henry.

A few nights later, Henry wakes up from a nightmare that actually isn’t a nightmare. He’s found his way into a netherworld because he was put into an enchanted sleep. Here he is able to contact Aurora, who is currently travelling with Emma and Mary Margaret and talk to them indirectly. Between the two of them, and some help from Mr Gold, Regina and David, they manage to help Emma and Mary Margaret get home.

After the happiness of everyone being back to normal, there is the sadness of the thought that Regina killed Archie. Henry takes his very hard as he thought Regina had changed when she lifted the curse from the well saving both Emma and Mary Margaret. He also continuously rings Archie’s office number to hear his voice on the answering machine. But when Emma gives him Pongo to look after, he brightens up a little. As it turns out, Archie was not dead and Henry is overjoyed to see him and wants to apologise to Regina. He is also very interested in how Dr Whale is Frankenstein because his story is not in the “Once Upon a Time” book.

Henry’s next adventure takes him out of Storybrooke on the way to New York with Emma and Mr Gold to find Gold’s son. When they eventually find him, he turns out to be Henry’s dad. Henry is very hurt that Emma lied to him but this was sorted out in the game. If you need more information of Henry's canon future or what happened in his game history, I will glady provide.

Personality:

A lot of Henry's personality traits have been descended from what we know of his mother and his grandparents. The selflessness, putting other needs in front of his own and the faith that his actions are for the right reasons. Ever since Mary Margaret gave him the Once Upon a Time book, he has been claiming the entire populous of Storybrooke was under the curse described in the book and he spends all of time and energy trying to find a way to break it.

Despite his actions having bad consequences, he does what needs to be done to achieve his goals and doesn't care about the cost to himself. He steals Mary Margaret's credit card to find Emma and then to get to Boston and bring her back to Storybrooke. He misses days of school to make her understand about the curse and try and get her to help him break it. And he eats the cursed apple turnover just to make Emma believe he is real. All of which he does selflessly in the faith that what he is doing will have the results he hopes for.

After the curse is broken, he continues to have faith that Emma and Mary Margaret are safe and looking after each other in the Fairytale Land even if he needs a little convincing from David. Despite his outward appearance of bravery, he is still just a child and needs the reassurance and love of his family to help him get through rough spots - which there have been many both before the curse and after. He also has faith in Regina that she can change and be good, and this faith in her is just as important to her as it is to him.

The thing Henry wants most of all, is to be a hero. And he gets this chance when he can use his sleeping curse to get messages to Emma and Mary Margaret in the Fairytale Land. But this comes at the price of using magic given to him by Gold and he also sees Regina use magic. This magic is something he is very wary of as he has only seen the bad side to magic through the curse and the other acts Regina does after the curse is broken. This is why he asks Regina to promise not to use magic.

Henry's want to be a hero is dampened, however, by everyone around him treating him like a child. He may be one on the outside but he is strong and brave on the inside which he wants to show. Sadly, there is a fine line between bravery and stupidity and it almost gets himself killed not long after Emma decides to stay. He goes into the mine and gets trapped trying to find proof that his book is real. He believes that if people treated him more as an adult, then this might not have happened.

All in all, Henry may just be a child but he is very courageous and selfless and willing to do what is necessary to prove this and help anyone in trouble, especially those he loves.

Powers/Abilities: Henry has no special powers or abilities to speak off. Just faith in his family and possibly the potential for magic though that is unknown at the present time.

How has your character changed from their canon self? Henry spent roughly six months in Ruby City and made quite a home where with a lot of friends from Storybrooke. Therefore, he is older and wiser about the idea of being kidnapped by forces even Regina or Mr Gold can't control and has comes to terms accepting that. He also knows things he wouldn't know in canon had he come from there straight to Teleios. For example, he knows about Regina's feels for Daniel and his fate as well meeting Baelfire and learning how he was split from his father. (Links can be provided for most events)

His personality remains the same, wanting to be the hero but also caring about his family. But now he knows more about his family and it's history as well some of the aftermath. All in all, the main difference from his time in Ruby City is the knowledge he gained about the history that is not told in his book.

Are they gaining any abilities from their time in game? Did the game setting take something from them? No abilities. Nothing taken. Just extra knowledge and experience gained.

Prose Sample: It was the weekend in Ruby City. And, as per usual, Henry was camping out in his little shelter waiting to see if the train would come in and deposit another soul into the city. Maybe it would be someone from Storybrooke, maybe it wouldn't, but either way Henry didn't mind. He'd gladly explain to anyone who looked lost and if could make a new friend then that would be a bonus.

While he waited, he read his book. But mostly the new parts he'd written himself, editing it sometimes to make more sense or adding bits he'd just remembered. Some of the new information was fascinating and he yet he understood exactly why Regina or Mr Gold never told him. Or anyone else for that matter. Talking about lost love was the hardest thing. Probably because it was the opposite to true love, Henry mused. And true love was the greatest magic of all.

Whenever he read over the information he'd been given in that deal with Mr Gold, his mind was cast back to his own meeting with his father as a young boy. It had been strained but only because Henry mentioned his affiliation with Mr Gold. But even so, Henry thought it went well. Better than not meeting him at all. Sadly though, there were still unanswered questions and both father and grandfather had left the city. Perhaps one day they would return and he could ask?

The train pulled in and Henry was dragged out of his thoughts, dropping the book and walking slowly over to the newcomer. Time to introduce himself!
